PLATFORM is a residency and professional development programme for emerging contemporary artists living or working in the UK. PLATFORM is for artists at the beginning of their career, who are creating new work and exploring their practice.

The two-week residency provides an opportunity for artists, who are not yet established and do not have a substantial record of accomplishment, to take risks and push personal and professional boundaries at a pivotal point in their early career.

PLATFORM artists receive a grant for production costs, and work alongside the established artist community in Abingdon Studios. At the culmination of the residency period PLATFORM artists benefit from access to exhibition space in Blackpool in which to present new work produced during the residency period in the form of a public exhibition.

Throughout the PLATFORM programme, mentor support is provided by Supercollider Contemporary Art Projects; the longest running artist-led contemporary visual art space in Blackpool.

PLATFORM is delivered in partnership with Supercollider Contemporary Art Projects and is supported by Abingdon Studios.

We are now accepting applications for our third PLATFORM residency. For an information and application pack, please email citing PLATFORM in the subject line.
